Grupo Nutresa, through its Coffee Business, obtained the 2021 National Exports Award “Challenges that build the future” in the Large Consumer Goods Company Category, a distinction granted by Asociación Nacional de Comercio Exterior – Analdex in association with ProColombia.

This distinction recognizes the internationalization strategy that Colcafé, the Coffee Business in general, and Grupo Nutresa have deployed since its beginnings. Thus, it has consolidated itself as a food company with international projection.

Carlos Ignacio Gallego, president of Grupo Nutresa, expressed: “At Grupo Nutresa we believe in the transforming power of internationalization. Is a path that we have undertaken practically since our origin. We are an international company with skills that allow us to grow and generate development for all our stakeholders.

The nomination for this award highlights the fundamental aspects of the internationalization strategy of the Coffee Business and details its most recent milestones in terms of exports and geographical presence; innovation and technology; sustainability; regional development and economic reactivation; and quality.

Miguel Moreno Múnera, president of the Coffee Business, expressed his satisfaction with the award: “We believe that developing business outside of Colombia is fundamental to compete with the best and to continue growing sustainably. From the Coffee Business, we feel very proud that more than half of our business is abroad, and commits us more and more to present proposals that position Grupo Nutresa as a company that offers world-class products.

Through these awards, Analdex and ProColombia recognize the exporting purpose of companies, people, and institutions that stand out for their resilience, innovation, strengthening of production processes, and permanence in international markets, contributing to the economic and social development of the country.

The award was conferred on December 13, 2021 at the Casa de Nariño, in a ceremony attended by the President of the Republic of Colombia, Iván Duque Márquez; the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, María Ximena Lombana; the Executive President of Analdex, Javier Díaz Molina; and the President of ProColombia, Flavia Santoro.
